Public Safety Advisory: Several Recent Incidents Reported Near Minneapolis Campus

Public Safety would like to advise the University of St. Thomas community of several incidents recently reported by the Minneapolis Police Department via MPD Action Alerts.

At 2:30 a.m. Friday, June 30, MPD reported an unidentified victim was assaulted and robbed by two unknown suspects at 12th Street and LaSalle Avenue. The victim’s money and phone were taken, and he suffered a broken jaw.

At 4:41 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, MPD reported an unidentified victim’s wallet was stolen by an unknown suspect near 8th Street and Hennepin Avenue.

At 9:53 p.m. Saturday, July 6, MPD reported an unidentified juvenile suspect was arrested for attempting to steal an unidentified victim’s phone on the 800 block of Nicollet Mall.

At 3:38 a.m. Saturday, July 6, MPD reported three non-UST affiliated suspects were arrested by Metro Transit Police for aggravated robbery at a bus stop at 7th Street and Nicollet Mall.

At 1:40 a.m. Monday, July 8, MPD reported two unknown suspects robbed and assaulted an unidentified victim on the 100 block of 7th Street.
