Dr. Rawlie Sullivan, a University of St. Thomas professor emeritus of marketing,died of cancer April 23 in Albuquerque, N.M. Sullivan, who taught at St. Thomas from 1987 until his retirement in 2004, was former chair of the Marketing Department.During his years at St. Thomas, he was one of the key factors in St. Thomas’ long andclose relationship with the Novosibirsk State University in Novosibirsk, Siberia. Hehelped initiate a sister-city relationship between the Twin Cities and Novosibirsk, Russia’s third-largest city. He traveled frequently to Novosibirsk and consulted with Russian businesses and entrepreneurs.
