The University of St. Thomas Real Estate Society won the University Challenge of the Minnesota chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties. In this annual competition, real estate students analyze the feasibility of developing a real-world project given current market conditions and present their findings to approximately 80 commercial real estate professionals. The UST student leaders for the competition were Mike Doyle, Grant Campbell, Jon Engell, Emily Howell, Kelcey McKean and Matthew Pike, all seniors. In addition, approximately 20 other students were involved, including sophomores and juniors who will be the next generation of presenters in later challenges. This is the second win for St. Thomas in the four-year history of the contest.
On the graduate side, the Master of Science degree in Real Estate Appraisal has been renamed as the Master of Science degree in Real Estate.
