Registration for 2010-11 faculty, staff and commuter permits is available via Murphy Online. From Murphy Online, scroll down to the Parking Services hyperlink to register. Directions for registration are available at the Parking Services website.
Following registration, permits will be mailed to non-adjunct faculty and staff who purchased a 2009-10 permit through payroll deduction, received a letter from Parking Services, and completed their online registrations. All others will have to purchase their permits when they go on sale at the Opus Hall Public Safety desk, Minneapolis campus, or the Parking Services office, 2119 Grand Ave., St. Paul campus.
Parking permit fees for faculty and staff are based on a sliding-salary scale:
Minneapolis campus
Minneapolis campus faculty and staff permits will go on sale Monday, Aug. 16, at the Opus Hall Public Safety desk. The cost:
- $0-$30,000 / $350
- $30,001-$60,000 / $450
- $60,001+ / $550
Minneapolis campus commuter permits are $225 for the semester and $450 for the year; permits must be paid for by a student account charge.
St. Paul campus
St. Paul campus faculty and staff permits will go on sale Monday, Aug. 23, at the Parking Services office, 2119 Grand Ave. The cost:
- $0-$30,000 / $250
- $30,001-$60,000 / $350
- $60,001+ / $450
St. Paul commuter permits will cost $250 for the year and $130 for the semester. Commuter evening permits, valid after 5 p.m., will cost $125 for the year and $65 for the semester. Permits must be paid for by a student account charge.
Parking Services
The Parking Services office is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The office will be open extended hours for permit purchases during the first week of classes – until 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 8 and 9, and Monday and Tuesday, Sept 13 and 14.
Resident permit lottery
Lottery forms for resident permits are posted on the Parking Services website. Lottery forms must be submitted by 11 p.m. Monday, Aug. 30. Results will be posted after 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1. Resident permits will be available for purchase at that time. Resident permits will cost $450 for the year and $230 for the semester. Freshman resident permits will cost $1,085 for the year and $550 for the semester.
