Freshmen Respond to National Survey

Each fall, students from hundreds of colleges and universities across the country participate in a survey sponsored by the University of California at Los Angeles. This survey, the Freshman Survey – CIRP (Cooperative Institutional Research Program), is designed to gather information that will enable UST administrators to better meet the needs of students during the next four years and for years to come.

On Aug. 15, 2011, the survey invitation was sent to 1,286 UST freshmen. A total of 681 students completed the survey for a response rate of 53 percent. To show our appreciation, three lucky students, Nicole Dimassis, Anthony Grundtner and Laura VandenBoom, were chosen at random from the 681 students who completed the survey to each receive a most excellent prize.

Data collected from the CIRP will be available after Nov. 1, which Institutional Research and Analysis will analyze and disseminate to university administrators as factsheets and presentations. Many of these factsheets and presentations will be available on IR&A's Institutional Surveys website.

Our sincere thanks to all who participated!
