St. Paul Interfaith Network to host March 29 Seder

Members of all faiths and religious traditions are welcome to attend the second annual Interfaith Passover Seder that will be held from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 29, at Mount Zion Temple, 1300 Summit Ave., St. Paul.

The Seder is a project of SPIN (the St. Paul Interfaith Network) with support from the leaders of many faith communities and organizations.

“Traditionally a much-beloved annual ritual that commemorates the exodus of Jews from Egypt, the Seder speaks to an important event in Jewish history as it explores universal themes of freedom, transformation and passion for justice,” explained Rabbi Amy Eilberg of the Jay Phillips Center for Interfaith Learning, one of the 28 organizations co-sponsoring the March 29 event.

“The Seder’s rituals, discussions, music and shared meal present an excellent opportunity for exploring common ground among different religions,” she said.

Registration is at 4:30 p.m. and the Seder gets underway at 5 p.m. Cost for the vegetarian dinner is $15 to $20. Preregistration is required; for information visit www.spacc.org/spin or call (651) 789-3877.
