STAR shines its spotlight on six events and activities for Nov. 2-6:
Tuesday, Nov. 2
Style your sole – After picking up your TOMS shoes from the Box Office (must have been preordered), decorate them from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Campus Square, lower level of Murray-Herrick Campus Center. “Tons” of supplies will be on hand to keep the creativity flowing. Since its beginning in May 2006, TOMS has given more than a million pairs of shoes to children in Argentina and South Africa through the purchases of its caring customers.
Wednesday, Nov. 3
National Sandwich Day – Visit STAR and pick up a free sub at 11:30 a.m. in the second-floor atrium, Murray-Herrick Campus Center.
Thursday, Nov. 4
Thursday Night Live will host a viewing of the movie “Despicable Me” and will provide plenty of food at 9 p.m. in Scooter’s. It’s all free.
Friday, Nov. 5
- Play laser tag with your friends. Giant inflatables will serve as obstacles. The fun begins at 7 p.m. in the Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex field house.
- Join Fanamaniacs in cheering for the St. Thomas men’s hockey team as it takes on St. Olaf and get a free winter hat. Buses depart at 6:30 p.m. from the Flynn Hall turnaround.
Saturday, Nov. 6
Enjoy the adventures of Hiccup and Toothless as Tommies after Dark hosts a showing of “How to Train Your Dragon” at 10 p.m. in the Koch Commons Fireside Lounge. A bonfire and s’mores will follow the movie outside of Koch Commons.
