STAR Spotlight Shines on Music, Movies, Hockey

The STAR entertainment spotlight shines this week on music, movies and hockey:

Thursday, Nov. 18

  • Bill Miller is an award-winning recording artist, performer, songwriter, activist, painter and world-class flute player. Over the past four years Miller has produced two albums, received a Grammy Award and led Wisconsin’s La Crosse Symphony Orchestra, a member of the League of American Orchestras.
    Scooter's – 9 p.m.
  • Join STAR at the IMAX to view Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the next episode in Harry, Ron and Hermione’s quest against Voldemort! Tickets go on sale over convo hour on Nov. 18 for $5, which includes the movie, transportation, small popcorn and a small pop. Busses Leave Flynn Hall at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 20.

  • What are you thankful for? Write what you are thankful for and receive free pie and deserts! A banner will be displayed the following week in the Murray-Herrick atrium displaying the responses.

Friday, Nov. 19

  • Preston Pugmire has won several musical contests and garnered a lot of support. With recognizable covers and instantly lovable original songs, Pugmire's show is amazing and captivating whether you’ve seen him one time or 10. It’s unlike anything you’ve ever experienced.

  • Fanamaniac will be handing out free winter hats to UST students when they attend the women’s hockey game against St. Ben's.

Saturday, Nov. 20

  • Plastic Musik is an abstract percussion show that combines innovative instrumentation with high energy, unpredictable theatrics to present an enjoyable experience that you are unlikely to forget.
    OEC – 10 p.m.
  • Fanamaniac will be handing out free winter hats to UST students when they attend the men’s hockey game against St. John's.
