To be considered for Minnesota State Grant funds for fall semester, the U.S. Department of Education must receive your 2010-11 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on or before Thursday, Oct. 7. If your FAFSA is received after this date, you will not be eligible to receive a state grant for fall term, but may receive state grant funds for subsequent terms of the aid year.
If you intend to file the FAFSA for this academic year, please submit it immediately to receive consideration for state grant funding and federal student aid. You may file the FAFSA online after securing a Department of Education Personal Identification Number (PIN) for yourself and your parent (if applicable).
