“Bringing Plants to the Plate,” a discussion with food and recipes, will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday July 7, at the UST Stewardship Garden (Mississippi River Boulevard and Goodrich Avenue).
The campus community is invited to this discussion of plant-based diets with a Health and Human Performance nutrition class. Each student will give a short presentation on a commonly grown vegetable (including those grown in the Stewardship Garden) that covers the health benefits, instructions on how to grow, as well as its culinary uses.
The event will include vegetarian dishes galore, recipes to take home and live music.
