UST Public Safety Announces Street Closings Near Campus

The city of St. Paul has announced lane restrictions at the Marshall-and-Cretin intersection. Beginning Monday, April 15, this intersection will be fully closed. This will impact traffic in all directions. Detours will be posted.

For northbound traffic on Cretin Avenue, vehicles will be directed to Cleveland Avenue.

For southbound traffic on Cretin Avenue, traffic will be directed north to eastbound University Avenue and then to southbound Cleveland Avenue.

Drivers are encouraged to follow the detour signs for eastbound and westbound Marshall Avenue.

On Thursday, April 18, construction will continue with lane restrictions, and the traffic controls will be removed. The streets will be fully opened on Friday, April 19. This will conclude a six-week infrastructure project.

This change will impact the travel time of the ACTC and UST Shuttle buses; in addition, there may be increased traffic on some of the residential streets around campus.
