Humane Society’s Holly Wetzel to Speak at Student Legacy Event Oct. 16

The Student Legacy Speaker Series will begin on Tuesday, Oct. 16, with guest speaker Holly Wetzel from the Animal Humane Society. She will talk about her work as humane education lead at the Humane Society, a nonprofit organization that provides programs and services to animals, including adoption and rescue efforts.

Wetzel’s speech will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Room 202 of the Anderson Student Center. All students are welcome to attend. Free pizza and beverages will be served.

The speaker series is sponsored by the Student Legacy Program at St. Thomas, a student club that is devoted to learning about and promoting philanthropy at the university. Throughout the year, committee members help plan events such as: “It Takes More Than Tuition” Day, Tommie Match Day, Senior Class Gift and other fundraising-related events.
