Student organizations: Gamma Sigma Sigma, Literary Club and Sigma Tau Delta
The UST chapter of Gamma Sigma Sigma, a social service sorority, will host informational rush teas for prospective new members at 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, and Monday, Sept. 26, in the Fireside Room of Murray-Herrick Campus Center. Attend one for more information on this national sorority founded on the ideas of service, friendship and equality. Throughout the year members get together for service activities, social events, fall and spring formals and more. The rush tea is an opportunity for those interested in pledging to meet and ask questions of current Gamma Sigma Sigma members, and enjoy a visit and, of course, food.
Literary Club and Sigma Tau Delta, the English honor society, will hold an information meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, in Room 481, John R. Roach Center for the Liberal Arts. Learn about plans for the year, including films, guest speakers, theater outings, service work in literacy promotion and pleasant surprises. Anyone is welcome to join Literary Club, and English majors and minors may qualify for induction into Sigma Tau Delta.
