Talk on 'Writing for MBA Courses' is Nov. 15
Rosanne Bane, faculty member of the Opus College of Business UST MBA program, will speak on "The Write Stuff: Writing for MBA Courses" on Saturday, Nov. 15.
The event will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. in Room 252, Terrence Murphy Hall, Minneapolis campus. Coffee, tea and breakfast treats will be served.
Bane taught the Business Writing Communication Lab for the UST Full-time MBA program for four years and is starting her second year of teaching and coaching the UST Executive MBAs. She has run a freelance business and taught writing for nearly 20 years.
Bane has served as editor of a monthly newspaper, a start-up publication for small businesses, an academic journal and a local book publisher. She is the author of Dancing in the Dragon's Den: Rekindling the Creative Fire in Your Shadow and has published more than 100 short articles in a variety of publications, including Personal Excellence, Format and The Writer's Connection.
She is a teaching fellow at the Loft Literary Center. For the past 10 years, she has coached professional and aspiring writers, artists, entrepreneurs and managers.
Bane earned a B.S. degree in business management, a B.A. in philosophy from the University of Wisconsin and an M.A. in English with a specialization in creative and professional writing from the University of Minnesota.
