Thank you for your donations to Agape House
I would like to take the occasion of the beginning of a new year to express my appreciation and extend my best wishes to each and every member of the St. Thomas community. I also would like to offer a heartfelt “thank you” to everyone who attended the President’s Christmas Celebration and contributed to our annual Christmas collection. Thanks to the generosity of so many faculty and staff, we were able to raise over $1,500 for Agape House in Minneapolis.
Agape House offers assisted living services for men and women suffering from AIDS. It enjoys a solid reputation for affording high-quality care to individuals who are without resources. In recent years, due to a misperception that the new antiretroviral therapies amount to a cure-all, donations have been harder to come by. Since the St. Thomas Christmas gift is made in honor of the Savior’s birth and since Jesus in his ministry sought out those forgotten by society in order that he might share with them God’s love, I recommended this particular ministry this year as a fitting beneficiary of our community’s generosity.
Again, thank you so very much for making this gift possible.
