Theater Department schedules auditions for two spring semester shows
The Theater Department will hold auditions for its spring semester shows on Monday, Nov. 19, and Tuesday, Nov. 20.
The two shows that will be cast at the auditions are "Guys and Dolls," the classic musical, which will be performed March 5-9 in the Foley Theater at UST, and "Mrs. Warren's Profession," a play by George Bernard Shaw, which will be performed April 9-13 in the Frey Theater at CSC.
The audition on Nov. 19 will begin at 6 p.m. in Rooms 110 and 111 of Brady Education Center (BEC) on UST's south campus. The audition on Nov. 20 will begin at 6 p.m. in Frey Theater at the College of St. Catherine.
All UST students are invited to audition, regardless of major or prior theater experience.
To audition for the musical, prepare to sing 16 bars of a song from any musical except "Guys and Dolls"; also, be ready to read from the script and participate in a group movement exercise.
To audition for "Mrs. Warren's Profession," be ready to read from the script. A copy of the script is available to read ahead of time at the Reserve Desk of O'Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center.
