Four elevators to be modernized, repaired beginning May 27

The Physical Plant and Thyssen Krupp Elevator will remove from service four elevators beginning Thursday, May 27, for modernization and repairs. The elevators are in Aquinas Hall, Dowling Residence (north elevator), O'Shaughnessy Educational Center and in the old section of O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center.

The elevators will be shut down until approximately Sept. 1. The Physical Plant thanks the St. Thomas community for its patience during this time.

Also: Noise alert for south campus area
Construction crews will cut an opening into the brick and concrete wall on the south side of McCarthy Gym (facing Goodrich Avenue) beginning Thursday morning, May 27. The concrete saw generates a high-pitched whine. The work will take approximately two days, beginning no earlier than 8 a.m. and ending by 4 p.m. The university thanks you for your tolerance of the extra noise.
