Time to retire the rocking chair?
By The Scroll editors
Dr. Joseph Hallman, a professor emeritus of theology, still spends a fair amount of time on campus, and to his amusement he invariably is asked one of two questions when spotted by friends:
"What are you doing here?"
"Why can't we get rid of you?"
Good questions. He answers them as a guest contributor to The Scroll, and he also suggests that maybe it's time to retire the rocking chair – at least for awhile.
If you know of an active "retiree" who isn't inclined to sit all day in a rocking chair, or are one yourself, send us a note and we'll publish it as a response to Joe's blog.
