Today is deadline to nominate students for Aquinas Fellows scholarship program
From the Center for Catholic Studies
The Aquinas Fellows scholarship program is one of the many projects funded by Beyond Career to Calling, St. Thomas’ Lilly Grant program. Beyond Career to Calling fosters awareness of the concept of vocation in all areas of the community, but especially among students. A significant amount of money was set aside in this program for student scholarships, with a particular focus on vocations.
Aquinas Fellowships are awarded to students who will be juniors or seniors next year and who have demonstrated a religious understanding of the idea of vocation in their lives. These students are making an effort to discern God’s call and to respond to that call in their studies, extracurricular work and career preparation. Aquinas Fellowships are awarded to students discerning a call to priesthood and religious life and to those pursuing a lay vocation of any type.
Faculty or staff nominations are the first step toward these awards. Please nominate students you believe fit the criteria by March 17. For more information, e-mail Brian Green.
