UST Music Department hosts October concerts
The University of St. Thomas Music Department welcomes the public to the music performances listed below. All will be held on the university's St. Paul campus unless listed otherwise. Admission is free.

- 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, in St. Mary’s Chapel at the St. Paul Seminary, 2260 Summit Ave.: Dr. David Jenkins, liturgical music director at the St. Paul Seminary, will give a faculty recital. The program features organ and harpsichord music of Dieterich Buxtehude (1637-1707), including “ Praeludium in C,” “ Magnificat Primi Toni,” and Variations on the aria “La capricciosa.” Dr. Christopher Kachian, guitar, and Paul Berget, gamba , will assist a performance of Buxtehude’s Sonata in D for gamba and continuo.
- 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, in Orchestra Hall, 1111 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis: The UST Choirs and Bands, directed by Dr. Matthew George, Dr. Angela Broeker and Nathan Knoll, present a fall concert.
Also, Dr. James Callahan, professor emeritus of music at St. Thomas, will give an organ recital at 12:35 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, at the Church of St. Louis, King of France, in downtown St. Paul. All are welcome.
