UST publications win nine awards

St. Thomas publications have received an unprecedented nine awards in this year’s prestigious Pride of CASE V (The Council for Advancement and Support of Education) Awards Program.

St. Thomas magazine received six awards, including four gold (Most Improved Magazine and three for Excellence in Photography), one silver (Best Magazine) and one bronze award (for Excellence in Design). CAS Spotlight from the College of Arts and Sciences received a silver award for Most Improved Tabloid/Newsletter. Connections from the Alumni Association received a silver award for Best Tabloid/Newsletter for External Audience, and Writing in the Margins from the English Department received a bronze award in the same category.

District V includes publications from colleges and universities in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. Entries are judged by peers who work in related fields at other higher education institutions in the district.

"The success of these publications is due in great part to the hard-working staff and contributors for each magazine and newsletter," said Doug Hennes, vice president for university and government relations. "Their commitment to excellence is evident on every page."

The publications were produced through the office of University Relations.
