Congratulations to Full-time UST MBA students Ahmed El Shourbagy, John Quinn, and Jake Heidkamp, who placed first in the ACG Cup finals yesterday. The team of second-year students won the $5000 first prize on the strength of their in-depth quantitative analysis and compelling presentation skills.
Heidkamp, Quinn, and El Shourbagy beat two other UST teams and a team from the University of Iowa in the final round. The second, third, and fourth place teams received $3000, $2000, and $1000, respectively, for their efforts. The judges from ACG treated all finalists to a reception at Brit’s Pub following the competition.
UST’s winning team will attend a luncheon at Windows on Minnesota next week, where they will be presented with an oversized check commemorating their victory. Initial planning has already begun for the third annual ACG Cup in 2011. UST thanks ACG for their generous support of this event and looks forward to hosting another outstanding competition next year!
