UST’s 2006 Children’s Choral Camp is June 18-23

The University of St. Thomas 2006 Children’s Choral Camp will be held from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 18, and from 9:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Monday-Friday, June 19-23, in Brady Educational Center.

Boys and girls, ages 9 to 13, whose voices are unchanged and who are recommended by their music teacher or choir director are welcome. The camp is limited to 60 students.

The students’ days will be filled with music and fun, beginning with a get-together on Sunday. A schedule of activities will be sent to participants prior to the camp.

The kids will develop musicianship and vocal and listening skills through choral singing under the direction of Diane Nielsen and Deborah Lamb. The five-day schedule includes choral rehearsals, sight-singing, musical games, swimming and other fun activities. The camp concludes with a festive choral concert at 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 23.

The cost for the choral camp is $295.
