Watch and discuss excerpts of movies March 14 at 'Troubling Waters' event

Step into the "Troubling Waters: Discussions on Meanings and Messages in Popular Culture and Film" series to see and discuss excerpts from "The Motorcycle Diaries," "V for Vendetta" and "Little Miss Sunshine." The event will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, in Room 126, John R. Roach Center for the Liberal Arts, St. Paul campus.

Students from Justice and Peace Studies, Women's Studies and American Cultural Studies will moderate the discussion, which is part of Troubling Waters, a series of interdisciplinary discussions on power, race, gender and culture in society.

The event, free and open to the public, is sponsored by American Cultural Studies, Justice and Peace Studies, the Luann Dummer Center for Women and UST's Women's Studies programs.

Refreshments will be served.
