Weight Watchers is coming to the St. Paul campus this fall. To get the program under way, the Wellness Center, will host an informational meeting for all students, faculty and staff on Thursday, Nov. 12; the first official meeting will be held Thursday, Nov. 19.
Both meetings will be held at 12:30 p.m. in Room LL12, Koch Commons, next to the Wellness Center.
Because Weight Watchers is sponsoring a promotion, the cost is $99 for nine weeks. Those who plan to participate should bring payment to the meeting on Nov. 12. Pay the full $99 that day or in two installments (both installments – two checks – must be turned in that day; Weight Watchers will not deposit the second installment until Dec. 12).
Meetings will not be held Nov. 26, and Dec. 24 and 31 due to holiday breaks. The last meeting for the series will be Thursday, Feb. 4.
As an incentive for student participation, the first 10 students who lock in their commitment via e-mail to the Wellness Center will receive $25 off the cost of registration compliments of the center. In addition, 10 students picked at random who stick with the program through at least seven of the nine meetings will receive a $25 gift certificate for the UST Bookstore.
For more information, e-mail Sara Shipley at the Wellness Center.
Students, faculty and staff who are interested in having a Weight Watchers program at the Minneapolis campus should e-mail Ashley Bowes. Fifteen responses are needed to start a program.
