Women's Soccer Home Exhibition Produces Record Crowd

A stadium record crowd of 743 on Aug. 8 watched the University of Minnesota and University of St. Thomas women's soccer teams get their first taste of outside competition for 2022. The game's attendance smashed the previous record of 430 fans.

The season-opening exhibition game, featuring the state's two Division I women's soccer programs, gave Tommie coach Sheila McGill and Gopher coach Erin Chastain a chance to see their teams in action in just the eighth day of preseason camp.
