The university has exhausted the additional federal work-study funds it received as a result of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (commonly called the federal stimulus package). No additional summer work-study monies will be available from this fund.
The Financial Aid Office sincerely thanks all the departments and supervisors who did additional work to create jobs for work-study eligible students and helped to spend the additional funds. This was an effort that truly helped many people.
At this time – although we are not certain – we do not anticipate additional stimulus funds to spend in 2010-11 for this purpose. If that changes, we will communicate with the St. Thomas community immediately.
