Yoga classes open to St. Thomas students, faculty and staff will meet on Mondays during fall semester, beginning Oct. 3 and running through Dec. 12 on the Minneapolis campus. Classes will take place from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 357, Terrence Murphy Hall. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring a mat or towel.
Learn to relax the body and mind through the stretching and breathing activities of Hatha yoga, a gentle practice that provides rest and rejuvenation. Increased energy, improved flexibility, reduced stress and more restful sleep are typical benefits of Hatha yoga.
The cost is $71.50 for all 11 sessions, $59.50 for seven sessions, or $10 for a drop-in session. Payment is due on the first day of class; cash or checks are accepted. Make checks payable to Nikki Baker. At least 10 people must commit in order for Baker, the instructor, to begin holding sessions.
