Young Scholars Grant Program available for summer research
The Undergraduate Research and Collaborative Scholarship (URCS) Program announces the availability of Young Scholars grants for undergraduate students who are interested in spending summer 2008 working closely with a professor on a significant research project or creative activity.
These grants are designed to give students the time and resources they need for meaningful reflection and in-depth inquiry into a problem or issue of interest both to them and their faculty mentors.
Successful applicants to this program receive a summer stipend of $4,000 and free housing on campus (if needed) from the end of May to the middle of August. Young Scholars are expected to work on their research projects full-time over the course of at least 10 weeks.
Application instructions, guidelines, and materials are available here. Applications are due by 5 p.m. Friday, March 28.
