Accelerate Your Clean Technology Company

If you have a big idea that could help solve some of the planet’s largest challenges, join the planet’s largest cleantech accelerator. Applications are being accepted for the 2016 Cleantech Open Midwest Accelerator through May 1.

If you’re an entrepreneur or technologist who needs help to launch or build your clean technology company into a sustainable business, this is the accelerator for you. Through training, mentorship, funding opportunities and networking specific to the industry, the Cleantech Open will help you create the company you know your idea can become.

Since its inception in 2006, the Cleantech Open has accelerated 1,036 startups, leading to $1.135 billion in external capital and 3067 jobs created.

“2015 will stand out as a breakthrough year for Viroment,” said Viroment CEO Paul Koenig, the 2015 Midwest finalist and National Water Prize winner at the Global Forum. “Winning the Water Prize in November was a monumental step for our company.

“We have true gratitude for the effort the Cleantech Open Midwest put behind Viroment – pushing us, challenging us, giving critical assessment and building us up. It is clear that Viroment could not have attained this award without your help.”

As a Cleantech Open accelerator company, you compete for prizes valued from $10,000 regionally to $200,000 nationally, including cash and in-kind services. More than that, you’re winning the opportunity to advance your company faster than you imagined, gain a reputation in the clean technology sector and build your future the way to want.

Because corporate sponsors cover most of the costs and volunteers donate their time, your cost for the world’s leading cleantech accelerator is $150 to apply, and if accepted, about $1,000 per company. Here’s what types of companies we’re looking for:

  • Energy generation, distribution, storage and efficiency
  • Chemicals and advanced materials
  • Information and communications technologies
  • Green building
  • Transportation
  • Agriculture, water & waste
