Interested in service through teaching?
The Alliance for Catholic Education program at the University of Notre Dame is a two-year service through teaching program founded 16 years ago in response to the need for talented teachers in underresourced Catholic schools. ACE currently has placed more than 175 teachers in 31 communities throughout the United States.
With its fully funded Master of Education Program and multiple levels of professional and personal support, ACE prepares its participants to meet the challenges they will encounter in their classrooms. After their two-year service commitment, ACE graduates contribute to diverse disciplines and varied professions, including public policy, teaching, and law and doctoral studies in fields from education to physics.
Everyone is invited to visit with the ACE representative at two events (registration is not required):
- ACE information session – 7:45-8:45 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, in the Fireside Room, Murray-Herrick Campus Center. Pizza will be provided. (Follows All Saints Day Candlelight Mass at 6:45 p.m. in the Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas.)
- ACE information session and open house – 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, at the Center for Catholic Studies in Sitzmann Hall, located at the corner of Cleveland and Summit avenues. Lunch will be provided.
