Amnesty International to host night vigil for political prisoners of conscience
Amnesty International will host a night vigil for political prisoners of conscience from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, starting in the lower quad.
"During this election season we felt obligated to call attention to those who have spoken up and suffered because of their democratic values," said Anne Fuchs, Amnesty International event coordinator. "We are inviting anyone who would like to join us in the vigil or to learn more about prisoners of conscience to stop by for as long or little as you would like.
"We will be providing delicious cookies and an action you can participate in to make a difference in seconds."
