Anand Desai appointed as an academic counselor at UST

Join the Academic Counseling Office in welcoming Anand Desai to the University of St. Thomas. He began his duties as a new academic counselor on March 6.

Desai received both his undergraduate and his counseling psychology degrees at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. His most recent work experience is also at the University of Wisconsin, where he worked as a career counselor in the School of Human Ecology, as a multicultural advocate through the Multicultural Student Coalition, as an adviser and counselor in the Educational and Psychological Training Center, and as a teaching assistant for an Academic Enhancement Seminar.
Desai also has work experience at the University of Chicago and Loyola University, Chicago, where he worked as a research coordinator and an assistant field coordinator, respectively.
The Academic Counseling office at St. Thomas assists students with degree-evaluation checks, core curriculum and major field requirements, major- and minor-field choices, student-professor conflicts, locating campus resources, and other matters to assist students with academic work.
