The annual fall Mississippi River cleanup will take place 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31. All are encouraged to meet at the usual spot – the World War I monument at the intersection of Summit Avenue and East Mississippi River Boulevard.
Bring gloves, rakes and good shoes. Bags and gloves will be provided for all participants who need them, compliments of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. Refreshments will be available for all workers.
The cleanup will take place rain or shine and is sponsored by the UST Sustainability Club, Minnesota DNR Adopt-a-River Program, UST Recycling Team and UST Facilities Management.
The Minnesota Monster Dash Half Marathon also will be taking place during the event.
