Arch March for Ronald McDonald House Kids Steps off on April 17

The St. Thomas community is invited to join the UST American Marketing Association’s fifth annual Arch March on Sunday, April 17.

The Arch March, which will meet at noon at the St. Thomas Arches, is an annual charity walk that benefits the Ronald McDonald House in Minneapolis. The house provides a home away from home for terminally ill children and their families. University of St. Thomas students, faculty, staff, alumni and neighbors raise pledges and collect pop tabs over the course of the year, culminating in a three-mile walk from the St. Thomas Arches to the Golden Arches at the Ronald McDonald House to deliver the donations.

arch_marchIt's not too late to start a pop-tab collection. More than $4 million dollars have been raised since the Ronald McDonald House Pop Tab Collection Program was established in 1987.

Monetary donations also can be made out to UST AMA and mailed to Casey Radcliffe at 1999 Ashland Ave., St. Paul, MN 55104.

The Minneapolis Ronald McDonald House is able to lodge 48 families per night, providing a community of support for families facing tremendous challenges. Since the first Ronald McDonald House was created in 1974, more than 10 million families around the world have benefited from their services.
