Toby Madden, regional economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, will speak at the Association for Strategic Planning 2011 Spring Breakfast Series on Tuesday, Jan. 25. His topic is “The Latest on the Economy: What Are the Trends to Watch for This Year?”
As a regional economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, Madden writes articles for bank publications and frequently speaks on the district economy. In addition, he is actively involved with the bank’s economic education program.
Before joining the Minneapolis Fed in 1995 as a management analyst, Madden worked for five years at TCF Financial Corp. and for five years at Ernst and Young as a senior consultant in the financial services group.
A native of Minnesota, Madden has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in finance from the University of Minnesota, where he now is working toward a doctorate in applied economics. He is a certified public accountant (inactive), a certified management accountant (inactive), a past president of the Minnesota Economic Association, and on the board of the Institute for Financial Economics.
The breakfast will be held from 7 to 9 a.m. in Room 202, Opus Hall, on the Minneapolis campus. Cost of the breakfast presentation:
