The Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex at the University of St. Thomas will be closed much of the day Saturday, May 7, for a private, invitation-only event with the Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of the Tibetan people.
The university is leasing space for the event but is not sponsoring or participating in the Saturday visit. St. Thomas, however, is assisting with logistics.
The Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex will be closed from midnight Friday until 6 p.m. Saturday. The field house portion of the complex will not reopen until Sunday morning because it will be used for an ROTC event Saturday evening.
Several public events with the Dalai Lama are being held at the University of Minnesota May 6 to May 8. For information, visit this University of Minnesota web site.
