Bishops' invitations should be handled by President's Office

Bishops’ invitations should be handled through President’s Office

Archbishop Harry Flynn and Auxiliary Bishop Richard Pates of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis are planning their calendars for the year. Since they receive a high volume of invitations from parishes and other institutions, and due to the departure of Bishop Frederick Campbell, who is now bishop of the Diocese of Columbus, Ohio, they ask that invitations for the coming year be made now.

Because their time is so limited and requests for their presence are many, all requests for their attendance at St. Thomas events should be sent through the President’s Office. Each request must be made in writing and should contain specific information describing the nature of the event (day, date, hour, place and degree of participation by the bishop desired).
