Blood drive huge success

The Wellness Center would like to thank all participants and volunteers for their contributions in the American Red Cross Blood Drive last week.
As a result of everyone’s efforts, a total of 158 new pints of blood are available for patient care. On the first day 74 units were collected, and on the second 84 units of blood were collected. These numbers are higher than in the recent years at St. Thomas.
Through every season, hospitals and patients rely on the American Red Cross to meet their needs for blood transfusions. The Red Cross, in turn, relies on the generosity of sponsors, volunteers and donors to support its life saving mission.
