UST Student Receives Boren Award to Study Abroad

The University of St. Thomas International Education Center congratulates Kayden Hoang Bui '13 – recipient of a Boren Scholarship.

The scholarship, which is funded by the National Security Education Program, focuses on study in languages, subjects and geographic areas critical to U.S. national security.

Bui will study in Taiwan for the 2012-13 academic year and intends to focus on global health during postgraduate work and eventual government service, which  is required for the Boren Award.

Boren Scholarship awards can range from a maximum of $10,000 for a semester abroad up to $20,000 for a full academic year.
