Charter bus Available for NCAA Division III Final Four Trek

St. Thomas men’s basketball fans need to sign up by 11 a.m. Tuesday if they are interested in riding a charter bus to Salem, Va., for the NCAA Division III Final Four tournament this weekend.

The cost would be $213 per person if 46 people sign up for the Minnesota Coaches bus, which would leave St. Thomas at 5 p.m. CDT Thursday and arrive in Salem by 2 p.m. EDT Friday. The cost would jump to $240 with 40 passengers and $280 with 35.

The return trip to St. Paul would begin Saturday morning if St. Thomas loses its 8 p.m. EDT Friday game, and Sunday morning if it wins Friday night and advances to the 3:30 p.m. EDT Saturday championship game.

Fans would need to book their own hotel rooms and may need to arrange their own rides from hotels to the Salem Civic Center. See tommiesports.com for a list of hotels and rates.

Tickets are available in Friday-Saturday packages – $25 for adults and $12.50 for students – and will cover all three games. No single-game tickets will be on sale. Advance tickets can be purchased until 4:30 p.m. today, and from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in the office of associate athletic director JoAnn Andregg, Room 320, Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex. Tickets also will be available at the Salem Civic Center (which holds 7,000 people and will not sell out).
