CultureLink Tea, a series of monthly presentations that feature different countries, will host “Welcome to Uzbekistan: An Oriental Pearl in the Heart of Central Asia” on Thursday, Dec. 10.
The event, free and open to the UST community, will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Room 155, Murray-Herrick Campus Center.
Anvar Nigmatullin, an MBA student at St. Thomas, will speak about his experience growing up in Uzbekistan, a former-Soviet country in Central Asia. Participants will learn about the country’s unique and rich culture, tradition and food. Enjoy tea, taste desserts, ask questions and engage in discussion.
