Delta Sigma Pi speaker to explain how business and science work together

Delta Sigma Pi, a professional business fraternity at St. Thomas, welcomes Sarah Haecker, vice president of corporate development at BioE, who will speak on how business and science work together.

This event, free and open to the public, will be held from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, in 3M Auditorium, Room 150, Owens Science Hall.

This talk provides an opportunity for business and science students to hear from a leader in their fields. Learn how scientific research and profit can support each other and build a strong business.

Haecker will examine the growth of BioE, a biomedical company begun in 1993 with the mission of commercializing human umbilical cord blood stem cells and the associated tools and technologies needed to develop life-enhancing therapeutics and pharmaceuticals via high-quality cellular research and drug discovery.
