The Academy of Management is often considered the preeminent professional association for management and organization scholars. The 70 year-old organization has more than 20,000 members and can be found in over 100 countries.
At this summer’s annual meeting, Dr. David W. Jamieson, professor and chair of the Department of Organizational Learning and Development, received the Scholar-Practitioner Lifetime Achievement Award. Watch a video of the presentation (starting at 10:06).
While reading criteria for the award Jamieson received, Stella M. Nkomo, chair of the committee, spoke about his consulting, teaching, professional leadership and mentorship abilities. Jamieson has a strong reputation in the profession as a facilitator of change, a manager of diversity and a leader in the field.
