Everyone is invited to Heritage Week receptions

Everyone is invited to St. Paul and Minneapolis Heritage Week receptions March 6 and 8. A focal point of the Heritage Week activities are the receptions that will be held on both campuses.

St. Paul reception
11:45 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, in the first floor lounge, (the former Blue Lagoon), Murray-Herrick Campus Center. A free, light lunch will be served. A short program will begin at approximately noon. Among the planned highlights are videos of I.A. O'Shaughnessy, "Stories of St. Thomas" interviews, as well as music by Bello(w), a talented student barbershop quartet. Emcee for the event is Marisa Kelly, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.

Bello(w) is made up of Luke Forcella, high tenor, history and political science major; J.T. Koser, tenor, business entrepreneurship major; Sam Johnson, baritone, music and philosophy majors; and Peter Herringa, bass, a UST graduate who majored in theater and minored in music.

Minneapolis reception
Noon-1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 8, in Terrence Murphy Hall atrium. The short program, beginning at 12:15 p.m., will reprise the St. Paul program with videos and music by Bello(w). A free light lunch will be served. Emcee for the event is David Welch, dean of the Graduate School of Professional Psychology.

Students, alumni, faculty and staff are invited to these luncheon receptions. Plan to join us for lunch, great entertainment and a chance to learn some interesting history of St. Thomas!
