Faculty invited to April 4 workshop on human diversity requirement

All faculty members are invited to an April 4 workshop to discuss teaching strategies for courses that meet the human diversity requirement in the core curriculum. These courses focus on one or more of the following areas of inquiry: racial and ethnic minorities, class, gender, marginalized groups or non-Western culture.

What are the challenges of teaching the issues in these courses? What strategies have you developed to teach about these issues more effectively? What are the benefits of teaching these courses?

If you are teaching one of these courses, have taught them in the past or are considering doing so, you are invited to attend this workshop sponsored by the Human Diversity Curricular Review Committee.

The workshop will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, April 4, in Room 301, Aquinas Hall. Please register by sending e-mail to Dr. Sherry Jordon, Theology Department.
