Faculty-staff group to meet Thursday to discuss issues related to travel policies and GLBT climate

University of St. Thomas faculty and staff are invited to attend a meeting this week to discuss issues related to travel policies for employees who lead student trips, and the GLBT climate on campus.

The meeting will be held from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, in O’Shaughnessy Educational Center auditorium.

The meeting is not open to the media.

This will be the second meeting of the group. About 75 staff and faculty members met Friday, Feb. 3, in the third-floor lounge of Murray Herrick Campus Center.

The group of faculty and staff who will meet Feb. 16 is separate from an 11-member task force appointed by Father Dennis Dease, president of St. Thomas, to develop a travel policy. The task force is meeting weekly and is expected to issue a report to Dease next month.
