Find out about health-care volunteer programs Sept. 19
Numerous health-care volunteer programs will be described at an information meeting from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19, in 3M Auditorium, Owens Science Hall, St. Paul campus.
Representatives will present opportunities for UST students to participate in service activities in local hospitals, nursing homes and hospices.
Dr. Charlotte Ovechka, pre-health professions adviser, and Laurence Savett, M.D., adviser and adjunct faculty member, will preside at the meeting. Representatives from the hospitals and other facilities will describe their programs and answer questions.
At the meeting, students will sign up for the programs; some have limited spaces, so early sign-up is encouraged.
