Free coffee, smoothie at Women's Studies discussion Friday

The last Women's Studies discussion for spring semester will be held from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 2, at Coffee Bené. Drop in when you can; stay as long as you like.

There will be no presentation, allowing attendees an opportunity to talk with other Women's Studies faculty and students. Coffee Bené is located on the corner of Grand and Cleveland; the meeting room is the connection between the coffee shop and Davanni's.

Your coffee or smoothie is on the program and you can even order a cookie! So, please mark your calendars and plan to be there. Any faculty member or student who is interested in learning about Women's Studies is welcome to attend.

Women's Studies has sponsored a few discussions at Coffee Bené throughout the semester. Sue Myers (Theology) led a discussion of service-learning in Women's Studies and Paul Lai (English) presented an overview of his fall 2008 Asian American Women Writers course.
