Erik Smith and Dr. Thomas Hickson, Geology, will lead an informal lunchtime conversation on “Careers and Internships in Geology and Environmental Science” on Tuesday, Nov. 1. The event will be held from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 120, O’Shaughnessy Science Hall. Everyone is invited.
Dr. Tom Hickson
Smith and Hickson have worked in environmental consulting, the energy industry, environmental education, and state and federal government. Students interested in exploring career options in the geosciences and environmental science will learn from the professionals what graduates are doing with their degrees, the kinds of jobs that are out there, what salaries are like in these fields, and the job prospects.
All questions are welcome. Snacks will be served.
